IRON MOUNTAIN -- Hailey Greenleaf, a senior at Iron Mountain High School, was recently accepted into the Computer Science Ambassador Program for IMHS through code.org.
Code.org said her "enthusiasm for computer science and commitment to empowering others in this field truly stood out." They also wrote that her involvement in this program is "a testament to her potential as a leader and change-maker for increasing the number of young women in the field of computer science."
One of her first tasks as CS Ambassador was to organize an "Hour of Code" with Iron Mountain's fifth- and sixth-grade students Dec. 4. The high school AP Computer Science Principles class also helped out.
All involved had a lot of fun learning basic coding skills.
