WIC over Westwood in first round of High School Bowl

WEST IRON COUNTY beat Westwood 260-120 in the first round of High School Bowl. MARQUETTE -- The West Iron County Wykons played the Westwood Patriots in an initial round of High School Bowl and won by a score of 260-120.

Thirty-eight schools from the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin field teams for WNMU-TV's High School Bowl tournament, now celebrating 45 years on the air. West Iron County will advance to the second round when they play Manistique, scheduled to air Feb. 17. Running from November through the championship game in April, the High School Bowl series airs on WNMU-TV at 8 p.m. Eastern time Saturdays and 3 p.m. Mondays. It is also available on the Michigan Learning Channel. More information on the 2023-2024 tournament is available at wnmutv.nmu.edu.
