The Kingsford High School AP Literature class is studying Shakespeare's "Hamlet," and the protagonist has "a lot on his plate." Hamlet is stressed about his father's death, his mother's remarriage, the threatened invasion of Norway, his girlfriend breaking up with him and more. Students chose food that symbolized the stressors in Hamlet's life and "filled his plate." These plates were presented in class and displayed outside the classroom. There have been many positive comments on the creativity and artistic abilities of the students, in addition to the students' understanding of the play.
