Forest Park plans kindergarten, Great Start registration

CRYSTAL FALLS — Registration for students entering kindergarten and the Great Start Readiness Program at Forest Park Schools during the upcoming school year will be Feb. 27-29.

Parents may come to the elementary office to register their child from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

There will be extended registration and an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

To enroll in the GSRP, a child must be 4 years old, and to enter kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2024.

Kindergarten registration requires an official birth certificate and immunization record. Hearing and vision screening is required for kindergarten entry. The Dickinson-Iron District Health Department will hold a hearing and vision screening clinic in the spring and an appointment for your child’s screening will be scheduled when you register.

Parents registering a student in the GSRP will be given an enrollment packet to complete. A child is not officially enrolled until the completed packet is returned.

If you have any questions, please call the elementary office, 906-214-4695, ext. 320.
