Paczki for Fat Tuesday

In celebration of Fat Tuesday today, Tadych’s Marketplace Foods of Iron Mountain has been busy making hundreds of dozens of the traditional paczki. From early Monday though noon today they will crank out about 10,000 of the Polish doughnuts to start of the Lenten season, store staff said. Paczki are a deep-fried spheres of dough that have a sweet filling. The bakery offers seven different fillings, with three types of coatings: granulated or powdered sugar and glazed.
