KINGSFORD — A fire at a home on the 400 block of Case Street was extinguished Wednesday morning with no injuries and no damage to neighboring homes, Kingsford Public Safety Department said.

Officers responded at 9:22 a.m. and saw smoke but found no one inside the residence, a news release stated. They cleared the site at 11:33 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Assisting were We Energies, DTE Energy, Integrity Care, the Kingsford Public Works Department and the Iron Mountain Police Department.
