A female yellow-bellied sapsucker takes advantage of an orange set out for orioles. If not done already, it’s time to get those supplies out for hummingbirds and orioles. An Iron Mountain resident reported on the Hummingbird Central website, www.hummingbirdcentral.com, their first ruby-throated hummingbird showed up Thursday, the earliest they’ve recorded one.
