Italian Fest on Saturday in IM

Italian Fest takes place Saturday in downtown Iron Mountain. The 17th-annual event, sponsored by LiUNA Local 1329, will kick off at noon with the opening ceremony by Mike Izzo and family. The celebration continues until 11 p.m. with three local groups — Jan and Gino; Norton, Chartier & Co.; and Bad Axe Rodeo featuring Andy Gibbons. The children’s area, sponsored by First National Bank & Trust, has expanded its hours from noon to 9:15 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and children 13 and older, free for younger children. Crispigna’s Italian Market will return with its authentic dishes.
