College Night planned in Escanaba, Iron Mountain

Bay College hosts College Night on Sunday at the Escanaba Campus and Monday at the Iron Mountain Campus from 6 to 8 p.m. local times. More than 35 colleges, universities, and military branches from across Michigan will be present.

ESCANABA — Bay College, in partnership with the Michigan College Fairs Committee, hosts the return of College Night featuring more than 35 colleges, universities, military services, and trade schools at both the Escanaba and Iron Mountain campuses.

The first College Night kicks off from 6 to 8 p.m. Eastern time on Sunday in the Besse Center on the Bay College Escanaba Campus. A second event is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Lower Commons on the Bay College Iron Mountain Campus.

College Night is an opportunity to meet with representatives from participating institutions to learn about the programs and services they offer. Whether you’re a high school student, currently enrolled as a college student, or simply curious about post-secondary education or trade options, this is a chance to help shape your future.

“It’s not always an easy task getting out of the Upper Peninsula,” said Jessica Beaver, Bay College director of admissions. “This is an opportunity for our communities to visit institutions from far away right here in their backyard. Plus, we love having people on campus. I encourage you to bring your family and friends — you never know what you’ll learn or who you’ll meet.”

Expect a dynamic lineup of institutions including both large and small colleges from private to public.

“College Night is such an exciting opportunity for the community and it is great to be a part of this as a representative of Bay College,” said Jason Sullivan, executive director of the Iron Mountain Campus. “In addition to learning what Bay has to offer from both campuses to the community, students also get to be exposed to what is available to them from colleges and universities across the Midwest.”
