Dave and Maryjo Desmit coordinated another successful Poker Run for the Tufts Rondon VFW Post 2891 in Crystal Falls. Approximately 28 side-by-sides and Jeeps rode the trails Oct. 12 while the weather cooperated with the leaves in full fall Technicolor. Forty members, family, and friends of the post, along with four-legged passengers, stopped at a number of pre-determined locations throughout the day. The proceeds from the Poker Run will be used to support programs and activities for local veterans and their families.
