Health fair in Iron River
IRON RIVER — Aspirus Iron River has announced the return of the Community Health Fair, designed to promote health and wellness in the local communities.
The fair is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Windsor Center, 612 W Adams St.
Partnering with various health and community organizations, the event will feature health screenings, educational resources, flu shots and much more.
“We are delighted to bring the health fair back to the community,” said Erin Hinton, manager — clinics. “Our goal is to provide valuable health information, screenings, and resources in a convenient location. Attendees can look forward to a myriad of tables and departments with health screenings, information, giveaways and refreshments.”
There is also a health fair scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday at Aspirus Ontonagon Clinic, 601 S 7th St., Ontonagon.
In addition to the health screenings and educational booths, this year’s health fair will feature flu shot clinics at both locations, offered by the local health department and Aspirus Health providing attendees with an easy and accessible way to get their seasonal flu vaccination.
