McRoberts introduced as Kingsford city attorney
Henry McRoberts
KINGSFORD — Henry McRoberts attended his first city council meeting Monday as the new city attorney for Kingsford.
He replaces long-time city attorney Bruce Brouillette, who retired after 39 years of service to the city.
McRoberts, a native of the Lower Peninsula, said he’s “excited” about the new position.
“I feel privileged that the council selected me. I’m a longtime Kingsford resident so it will be fulfilling to give back to the city in this capacity.”
McRoberts has lived in the city since October 2002. His wife, the former Lisa Crosson, is a 1994 graduate of Kingsford High School.
He attended high school in Dexter and graduated in 1989. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State in 1993 and his law degree at DePaul University in Chicago in 1997. Prior to moving to the area, he practiced in Illinois from 1997 to 2002.
He and his wife have three children, Henry, 20; Adelaide, 18, both attending college; and Margot, 16, who attends Iron Mountain High School.
