Promoting health
Members of the Iron Area Health Foundation met on Sept. 25 with the IAHF Student Leadership Teams from both West Iron County and Forest Park schools to discuss collaboration between the students, school and the foundation on health related topics for the 2024-2025 school year. It was decided that both schools will have a clubs/activities fair during the month of October to enhance connections and relationships for all students at each school. The leadership teams will also develop anti-bullying and anti-illegal substance use banners for each school. The banner development will be a competition among all students. The banners will then be displayed at both schools. Meeting attendees included Anna Bandola, Jonnie Ketola, Lily Post, Dalaney Wagner, Eiley Meske, Lily DeSousa, Annika Johnson, Bradley Jochem, Keenan Dobson-Donati, Donte White, Dax Huuki, Ava Fischer, Aiden Johnson, Colton Devore, Kallie Westcott (Forest Park guidance counselor), Kaitlyn Cvengros (Forest Park student services), Francy Economy (West Iron County social worker), Chris Kent (IAHF Board president) and Lyle Smithson Jr. (IAHF director).
