Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District’s request for a renewal of its special education millage was approved Tuesday by a wide margin.

The tally in Dickinson County was 9,633 yes to 4,049 no. In Iron County, it was 4,557 yes to 1,989 no. In Menominee County’s Faithorn Township, it was 94 yes to 70 no.

The 10-year renewal is set at 0.4983 mills, or just under 50 cents per $1,000 of taxable value. The millage will provide funds for the education of students with a disability.
