ATHELSTANE, Wis. — A Valentine’s Day Candlelight Hike is planned on Friday, Feb. 14, starting at 5:30 p.m. in Goodman Park in Athelstane, Wis. Participants are invited to hike or snowshoe along the candle illuminated path, experience the lantern lit bridge over the scenic Strong Falls. Afterwards, warm up by the fire in the Goodman Park Lodge with a cup of hot cocoa and some tasty local treats. Leashed dogs are welcome in all Marinette County parks. No pre-registration is required A 2025 Marinette County annual Parks sticker or a $5 day pass per vehicle is required. Day passes can be purchased at the park entrance (exact change appreciated). Annual and day passes are also available online at marinettecountywi.gov/parks/ or at the Marinette County Courthouse, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
