Marinette teen killed in crash
TOWN OF PORTERFIELD, Wis. — A Marinette teen died in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday on state Highway 180 in the Town of Porterfield in southeastern Marinette County.
The crash was reported at 5:52 p.m., Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller said in a news release.
An investigation indicated a vehicle driven by 39-year-old Jacob Lebick of Marinette was southbound on Highway 180 south of Nettleton Road when he failed to negotiate the curve and crossed into the northbound lane, colliding with a vehicle driven by Alise LaPierre, 18, who was fatally injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office. Also assisting Marinette County deputies at the site was the Wisconsin State Patrol, Grover-Porterfield Fire Department and Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area EMS.
