HARRIS — North Dickinson captured two individual victories and a relay triumph and placed second in the Munising “Under the Lights” Invitational originally scheduled to be held in Munising but relocated to Bark River-Harris High School because of an issue with the Munising track.

North Dickinson’s Aubrey Applekamp won the high jump Friday with a leap of 4 feet, 10 inches, while Aspen Anderson captured the pole vault with a 7-6. The Nordics finished with 40 points — 5.5 points behind team champion Pickford.

North Dickinson’s 3,200 relay squad of Raina Ledzian, Taylor Dennocenzo, Aly Steinbrecher and Aunika Lindholm recorded a victory in 11 minutes, 7.48 seconds.

The Nordics also got top-three finishes from Applekamp (second in the 100 hurdles, third in the 300 hurdles) and Lindholm (second in the 1,600 and the 3,200)

The other area athlete to post a victory was Norway junior Lauren Adams, who won the 400 (1:02.64). Senior teammate Abby Richter had a good day as well, taking second in both the 100 (13.59) and the 200 (28.09).

Norway, which placed sixth in the girls standings with 22 points, also received a third-place result from the 400-relay team of Richter, Adams, Jessa Rossler and Mary Cavagnetto.

In the boys competition, Pickford took home the title with 61 points, well in front of Stephenson with 43 and Manistique with 42. Norway placed seventh with 19 points and North Dickinson finished 10th with three points.

The Norway boys logged three runner-up finishes — Josh Schiltz in the shot put and Mason Trudeau in the long jump along with the 800 relay team of Trudeau, Andrew Hautamaki, Kaleb LaPine and Anthony Pineda.

Miles Lindholm (110 hurdles), Mason Anderson (pole vault) and Ricky Haney (discus) led North Dickinson with fifth-place finishes.
