Niagara names its top five in Class of 2025

JUSTINE GELDMEYER

NIAGARA, Wis. — The School District of Niagara has announced the top five scholars in the Niagara High School Class of 2025.

The five students lead a graduating class of 35. They are:

— Justine Marie Geldmeyer, 17, will graduate with a cumulative grade-point average of 4.025, ranking first in her class. She is the daughter of Scott and Carrie Geldmeyer. Her siblings are Ashley, Emma and Joseph Geldmeyer.

Geldmeyer has participated in cheerleading, ballet, dance, Badgers United HYC, student council, Hi-Q, forensic public speaking, religious education, HYC Youth Summit, theater and Espanolandia.

Her honors and awards include Football Cheer Camp MVP, Badger Girls State attendee, VFW “Voice of Democracy” Florence Post nominee, Wisconsin State Senate Scholar Program participant, high/highest honors, dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, silver and gold medals in forensics and first place in Spanish three-level group singing and dancing at Espanolandia.

PARKER DeCREMER

Geldmeyer named her mom as her role model because she is extremely kind and selfless. She has taught Geldmeyer the importance of helping others whenever possible. Her mom is also extremely talented at her job and has managed all the family’s medical challenges gracefully. She is proud to call her mom.

Justine enjoys spending time with friends and family, choreographing, crafting, spending time outdoors, exercising, dancing, cooking and baking

She has worked at Badger Care, an afterschool daycare program, since 10th grade. This past summer, she also started working at the Knight Owl and babysits regularly.

Geldmeyer volunteers with the Lions Club at the summer picnic and mud runs, served as a sixth grade camp counselor, and helps with fish fries and pasty sales at her church. She also volunteers with activities associated with the Niagara Area Historical Society, the Veterans Day program, the MLK Day presentation and Red Cross blood drives.

This fall, Geldmeyer will attend the University of Notre Dame, where she will major in political science and Spanish. She plans to attend law school after obtaining her undergraduate degree. She hopes to use her law degree to work in transactional law, government or public service.

GAVIN NEUENS

— Parker Scott DeCremer, 18, will graduate with a cumulative 3.935 GPA, ranking second in his class. He is the son of Scott and Kelly Jo DeCremer.

DeCremer has participated in Hi-Q Physics, Badgers United, student council, Rising Phoenix at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, theater, student officer, forensics, CESA 8 Youth Apprenticeship and the National Honor Society.

His honors and awards include forensics recognition, high GPA award, Hi-Q awards, CESA 8 certificate, National Honor Society membership stole, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee “Black and Gold” Scholarship, and the UWM Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship.

DeCremer named Neil deGrasse Tyson as his role model. He admires Tyson for building a career around sharing knowledge and challenging contradictory ideas held by society, which DeCremer finds inspiring.

DeCremer enjoys working out, playing video games, studying and reading physics books. He also collects CDs and records.

HAILI GUARDIOLA

He has worked for two years at Maryhill Manor as a dietary aide.

DeCremer has volunteered for many school events, including concessions, theater, and decorating for dances. He also volunteered at his church for several dinners and at the National Night Out event. In addition, he served as the mascot for the Lions Club and Badgers football.

This fall, DeCremer will attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he will major in physics. He plans to earn a Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics and conduct research to further understanding of the natural world.

— Gavin Gordon Neuens, 18, will graduate with a cumulative 3.905 GPA, ranking third in his class. He is the son of Jason and Tanya Neuens. His sibling is Jase Neuens.

Neuens has participated in basketball, club soccer, baseball and football. He also was involved in forensics, Hi-Q, One-Act, theater, Badger Boys State and student council.

DANTE STACHOWICZ

His honors and awards include membership in the National Honor Society; high honors every semester, reaching highest honors twice; three-time gold and one-time silver medalist at the state forensics competition; 2023, 2024 and 2025 Forensics “Distinct Speech Award” recipient; 2025 “Student of the Semester” at the Dickinson Iron Intermediate School District Tech Ed Center; first-team all-conference for baseball in 2024; honorable mention all-conference for basketball in 2025; Student of the Week in 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025; 2023 HYC Youth Summit attendee; and selection for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s R1 Research program in summer 2025. He also had lead roles in the school’s yearly theater productions.

Neuens named English teacher Ginger Anderson as his role model because of her hard work and dedication to her profession and for making education an amazing experience.

Neuens loves the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and hiking, and enjoys the occasional video game as well.

His work experience includes positions at Neuens Auto Sales, Ed Neuens Sanitation and Excavation, Oak Crest Golf Course and T&T Steakhouse.

Neuens has volunteered at Lions Club events such as the mud runs and the annual picnic. He also participates in yearly spring clean-up efforts, has served as a volunteer basketball coach for a youth tournament team and has assisted elderly community members with moving.

This fall, Neuens will attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he will major in electrical engineering. He plans to graduate and pursue a career in engineering while working to create initiatives that better the world.

— Haili Paige Guardiola, 17, will graduate with a cumulative 3.904 GPA, ranking fourth in her class. She is the daughter of Pablo and Tammy Guardiola. Her siblings are Collin, Kerrigan, Delaney, Paige and Connor Guardiola.

Her honors and awards include Spanish 3 honors, AICE U.S. History, AICE English Language, BLS certification, membership in Health Occupations Students of America and serving as a teacher’s assistant for a third-grade class.

Guardiola named her sister, Delaney, as her role model because of her kindness and understanding. Delaney treats everyone with respect and love, no matter who they are.

Guardiola is passionate about volunteering and is an active member of the Think Pink Club, raising awareness and funds for breast cancer through events and outreach initiatives. She has completed more than 100 community service hours and has volunteered with the Rotonda West Association.

Guardiola has earned ServSafe Certification (obtained in 2021) and the American Heart Association Heartsaver Certification for K-12 schools (obtained on Feb. 8, 2024, and valid through February 2026).

Guardiola works at Storheim’s as a waitress. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new places, traveling, gardening, volunteering, reading, creating art, cooking, listening to music and writing.

This fall, Guardiola will attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she will major in occupational science and technology. She plans to pursue a doctorate in occupational therapy and hopes to work as a pediatric occupational therapist at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

— Dante John Stachowicz, 17, will graduate with a cumulative 3.891 GPA, ranking fifth in his class. He is the son of Nikki Wolosyn (Thomson) and Jim Stachowicz. His sibling is Brooklyn Wolosyn.

Stachowicz has participated in football, basketball, track and racing. His non-athletic involvement includes forensics, school play, Badgers United, student council, 4-H, building trades and vocational programs, youth tutoring, and Hi-Q.

His honors and awards include being a two-time state gold medalist in forensics (2022, 2023) and a state silver medalist in 2024. He has been a member of the National Honor Society in 2024 and 2025 and earned his academic letter in 2024. Stachowicz has served as class president and 4-H president, earning multiple honors through 4-H. He was selected as a Badger Boys State participant in 2024 and has achieved high honors every quarter of high school. His athletic accomplishments include the 2022 Northwoods Storm Award, first team all-conference offensive lineman for football in 2023, football lineman of the year in 2023, and basketball defensive player of the year in 2024. Stachowicz was also recognized on both the junior prom court and homecoming court in 2024 and was crowned homecoming king. He attended the Healthy Youth Coalition conference in 2021 and 2024 and participated in the 2024 M&O Conference Student Council Leadership Retreat. In addition, he was named the 2024 Norway Speedway Street Stock Rookie of the Year.

Stachowicz has worked for Swanson’s Solutions, performing concrete and landscaping work full-time during the summer, and he also works on the family farm.

Stachowicz named his grandpa as his role model. After losing his arm in a farming accident, his grandfather continued farming without hesitation. “He has shown me that nothing can stop you unless you let it,” Stachowicz said. “He has taught me so many valuable life lessons.”

His community service includes volunteering at St. Anthony’s Church fish fries and pasty-making events, officiating and keeping score at 3-on-3 basketball tournaments and working as part of the chain gang for middle school and junior varsity football games. He has assisted the Lions Club by helping with the cleanup crew for mud runs and organizing children’s activities during the annual picnic. Through 4-H, he made Christmas cards for VA residents and nursing homes, participated in caroling for both 4-H and local nursing homes and handed out water at the National Night Out event.

His hobbies include basketball, football, track, golf, hunting, fishing, racing, spending time with family and friends and working with his animals.

This fall, Stachowicz will attend the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he will major in civil engineering. His goal is to build a successful career designing structures and systems that ensure the safety, health and welfare of communities — making an impact on the world while earning a steady income and living in a great location.

Superintendent Nathaniel Burklund, the board of education and school faculty congratulates the group.

Graduation ceremonies are set for 6 p.m. Friday at Niagara High School.
