Norway names top seniors in Class of 2026

Ashley Carlson
NORWAY — Norway High School has announced its Top 10% in the Class of 2026.
They are:
— Ashley Carlson, daughter of Grant and Lisa Carlson, plans to major in human biology and pre-medicine at Michigan State University in the fall.
During her time at NHS, she was the president of Key Club and Youth Advisory Committee, or YAC; vice president of the LEO Club and student council; the Red Cross student coordinator; a member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters program; Norway Women Support Squad; National Honor Society and the Quiz Bowl captain.
Carlson was also a member of the varsity basketball, volleyball and softball teams.

Ella Wojtowicz
— Ella Wojtowicz, daughter of Brian and Andrea Wojtowicz, plans to major in molecular and cell biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall.
During her time at NHS, she was a member of Key Club, Youth Advisory Committee, LEO Club, student council and National Honor Society; a Red Cross blood drive student coordinator; and participated in High School Bowl, Drama Club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.
Wojtowicz is an outstanding pianist, a band member who was part of Honors Band. She was also a member of the varsity tennis, basketball and golf teams.
— Paytan Carlson, daughter of Eric and Dana Carlson, plans to major in physical therapy at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the fall.
Carlson was an active student at NHS — she was a member of the Key Club,Youth Advisory Committee, National Honor Society and Norway Women’s Support Squad. She also played varsity basketball.

Paytan Carlson
— Alyssa dela Cruz, daughter of Michael dela Cruz and Kristen Ball, plans to major in animal sciences and pre-veterinary medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall.
She was president of the Key Club and Leo Club, vice president of the Youth Advisory Committee and the school representative for student council during her time at NHS.
Dela Cruz was on the varsity volleyball and track teams at Norway as well as the Northern Stars club soccer and Iron Mountain High School soccer co-op team.
She participated in Quiz Bowl, Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, the Red Cross blood drive and the HOSA conference. She also is secretary for Yooper Scoopers 4-H club.
— Rowen DeDecker, daughter of Phil and Jenny DeDecker, plans to major in business management and Spanish at Northern Michigan University in the fall.

Alyssa dela Cruz
During her time at Norway High School, she was a member of student council, Youth Advisory Committee, LEO Club and National Honor Society.
She was secretary in the Key Club and was manager for the volleyball team.
Norway High School will have its graduation ceremonies at 6 p.m. Friday in the auditorium.
