Pembine man dies after crash Friday

MARINETTE, Wis. — A Pembine, Wis., man died Friday after being seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash in the Town of Pembine in Marinette County.

Marinette County Dispatch received a report at 2:25 p.m. Friday of a crash on Cemetery Road near Short Cut Road in the

Town of Pembine, Sheriff Randy Miller said in a news release.

An investigation indicates a vehicle operated by Jacob J. Bruneau, 44, of Pembine, was eastbound on Cemetery Road when he went off the road on a curve and struck a tree. Bruneau was flown out by the Guardian Life Flight; however, he later died from injuries in the crash, the news release states.

Speed and failure to maintain control appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Also assisting Marinette County deputies at the crash site were Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine Fire, Pembine-Dunbar-Beecher Rescue, Guardian Life Flight, Integrity Cares EMS and Tim Witt Chevrolet Towing.
