Back to the Present

This week’s Back to the Present, provided by the Menominee Range Historical Foundation, is a 1940s view of Bollone’s Service Station in downtown Norway.

The service station, which was on the southeast corner of Nelson Street and Arthur Avenue — now Main Street and Seventh Avenue — featured Standard Oil Products.

The man standing between the pumps by the car may be station owner Mario Bollone.

Today the corner lot is home to Viking Square.
