LAONA, Wis. — An authentic cowboy reenactment and robbery of the Lumberjack Steam Train will take place Saturday, July 26, in Laona.

The public is invited to ride the train and experience the Wild West.

The Lumberjack Steam Train’s first ride on cowboy day will leave at 9 a.m. from the depot, 5068 U.S. 8. Trains will depart in 45-minute intervals, with the last leaving the depot at 1:30 p.m.

Every run will be stopped for a robbery until the marshal and his deputies run them off.

The cowboys will be carrying vintage guns, shoot lots of blanks and give a feel of having stepped back in time to the Wild West. It is a great show of realistic-looking cowboys, great horsemanship and some great horses as well, a Camp 5 spokesperson said.

Attendees are encourage to go online at www.lumberjacksteamtrain.com to purchase tickets before the event. The event has been popular and sold out quickly in past years.

Starting at $3.50/week.
