Dickinson district court report released for June
IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County Judge Julie A. LaCost has issued her activity report for the month of June.
New criminal cases for the month included nine felonies, 29 misdemeanors, six OWI/OUID misdemeanors and one felony drunken driving.
New civil cases for the month included 44 general civil cases, five small claims and five landlord/tenant disputes.
New traffic cases included 119 civil infractions, 20 misdemeanors and 30 non-traffic civil infractions.
Criminal dispositions for the month included 10 felony guilty pleas with one dismissed, 19 felony preliminary exams with six bound over to circuit court and 13 waived over to circuit court, 15 misdemeanors and four OWI/OUID misdemeanors.
Civil dispositions included 28 general civil and three landlord/tenant.
Traffic dispositions included 86 civil infractions and 10 misdemeanors. There were 10 non-traffic civil infractions.
The district court had two court trials, 13 probation violation hearings, 10 drug-sobriety court referrals, five defendants were referred to the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, three defendants were referred to the shoplifter’s counseling program, three defendants were referred to the sheriff work van and three defendants were referred to alcohol counseling.
There were two marriage ceremonies.
Funds turned over to the Dickinson County treasurer totaled $62,751.99. Funds turned over to the court trust totaled $7,671.
