Georgia pair accused of fraudulent credit card purchases

IRON MOUNTAIN – A Georgia man and woman are accused of making fraudulent credit card purchases at area gas stations.

Jonathan William Daniels, 34, of Lithonia, Ga., and Shanee Victoria Monique Clark, 28, of Covington, Ga., had not guilty pleas entered on their behalf July 7 in Dickinson County Circuit Court to one count larceny by conversion-$1,000 or more but less than $20,000, three counts financial transaction device-uttering and publishing and three counts transaction device-possession of a fraudulent one.

Daniels and Clark are both also charged with being habitual offenders.

Neither were in court; waivers of arraignment were filed on their behalf.

According to the criminal complaint, Daniels and Clark made multiple fraudulent credit card purchases at Krist stations in Iron Mountain, Quinnesec and Norway. A license plate reader was utilized to locate them in Auburn Hills in downstate Michigan.

Daniels was released after posting $3,000 bond and Clark is free on $2,000 bond. Pretrial conferences are set for Aug. 4.
