Multiple injuries in Menominee County crash

Multiple injuries were reported in a four-vehicle traffic crash Monday afternoon on M-35 near Kleinke Park in Ingallston Township, according to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office.

One person was airlifted by Guardian Flight helicopter for advanced medical treatment, Sheriff Darrin Kudwa said in a news release. Other vehicle occupants were transported to area hospitals, but the exact number was not provided.

The highway was shut down for a few hours after the 4:03 p.m. crash while emergency crews assisted the injured and officers investigated. A crash scene investigator was called to assist in determining the circumstances leading up to the collision, Kudwa said.

Deputies were assisted by local fire departments, EMS personnel, law enforcement partners, Guardian Flight air ambulance, the Menominee County Road Commission and Menominee County 911.
