BDP chamber hosts Community Picnic on Saturday in Pembine

PEMBINE, Wis. — The Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Community Picnic from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Pembine Legion Park.

A highlight of this year’s festivities is the “Picnics and Pile Drivers” wrestling show. We Love Wrestling returns to present a free show to spectators of all ages. The bell will ring at 3 p.m. to start the action.

The Red, White & Blue Classic Car Show, which was postponed from the Fourth of July, has been rescheduled to coincide with the picnic. The show will be noon to 5 p.m. at the park. Anyone wishing to pre-register can contact Pembine Sport and Lawn at 715-324-5590.

The popular horse pulls is set to begin at 1 p.m.

The chamber has also planned a variety of games for the public, including bag toss and bingo.

Kids can enjoy the afternoon in the bounce house.

D’s Dreamations will offer free face painting all day at the park.

Once again, crafters will be set up for the day for shoppers.

Local vendors will provide food and beverages for purchase.

The Lady Patriots basketball team will sell fresh lemonade and “Par-Tea,” a mix of tea and lemonade, as a fundraiser for the team.

Raffle tickets are six for $5 and available at local businesses or at the picnic. The top two prizes are $500 cash donated by BDP Chamber of Commerce; third, Green Acres Golf Course 2026 membership; fourth, Dewalt drill/impact combo donated by Pembine Sport and Lawn; fifth, $200 cash, donated by Silver Dollar Bar; sixth, $200 Home Depot gift card, donated by Just a Peak Exteriors; and seventh through 13th, $100 cash donated by DenBoer Construction, Diane’s Pop A Top, Hanson Appraisal, Pembine Pawn & Gun, Thermal Chaos Pub N Grub, The Grand Motel and Winter’s Family Restaurant.

They will also have gun and basket raffles. They will draw for the baskets at 4:30 p.m.

The raffle drawing will follow at 5 p.m. Winners do not need to be present.

The event will take place rain or shine.
