NIAGARA, Wis. — Get ready for a triple dose of animal excitement Wednesday as J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue, Wisconsin’s leading exotic pet rescue, will visit three Marinette County libraries — in Niagara, Crivitz and Peshtigo — in a single day.
Their vibrant, hour-long Color Our World presentation will introduce audiences to snakes, lizards, insects, spiders, hedgehogs, birds and more, while exploring the fascinating ways animals use color in nature — from camouflage and mimicry to bright warning displays. Each program includes an interactive session for questions and, time permitting, the chance to meet some of the animals up close.
The stops include:
— 10 a.m. at the Niagara Public Library, 1029 Roosevelt Road in Niagara;
— 1 p.m. at Crivitz Public Library in Crivitz; and

Poison Dart Frog
— 4 p.m. at the Peshtigo Public Library, 331 French St. in Peshtigo.
“These presentations are a fun way for kids and adults to see the beauty of nature in action,” said Megan Anderson, education specialist at J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue. “When you see how animals use color to hide, warn or trick predators, it changes the way you look at the world around you.”
The Color Our World series is part of J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue’s summer library programming, designed to inspire curiosity, promote conservation and encourage responsible exotic pet ownership.
