MARQUETTE – A Marquette woman missing since Sunday was found dead Tuesday night in Negaunee Township, authorities said.

Searchers located Eileen Mandel’s body in a wooded area about 10:35 p.m., less than two hours after the pickup truck she had been driving was found on a two-track road in Negaunee Township.

The Marquette Police Department does not suspect foul play was involved, but the incident remains under investigation.

Marquette Police had asked the public for help in finding Mandel, who had been missing from her home in the city of Marquette since about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Assisting with the investigation were the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Michigan Department of Natural Resources and UPHS-Marquette EMS.
