OGJVAMC town hall tour starts Wednesday
IRON MOUNTAIN – Members of the Oscar G. Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iron Mountain leadership and outreach teams will travel around the eastern region of the Upper Peninsula to host five separate town hall events Wednesday and Thursday.
Town hall meetings are an opportunity for veterans to engage with OGJVAMC leadership, ask questions, and learn about changes to their benefits and health care.
Veterans can expect updates on the PACT Act, Community Care, Bene-travel, Early Alert, construction projects and more.
Veterans will also have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback about the quality of their care.
Veterans, their families, and the public can attend any of these sessions:
Wednesday
— 10 a.m. Eastern time, Sault Ste. Marie American Legion Post 3, 3 Legion Drive, Sault Ste. Marie;
— 1 p.m. Eastern time, St. Ignace VFW Post 5114, 1110 N. State St., St. Ignace;
— 6 p.m. Eastern time, Drummond Island Resort Pines Restaurant, 33494 S. Maxton Road, Drummond Island.
Thursday
— 2 p.m. Eastern time, Garden Christian Fellowship, 6423 State St., Garden.
— 5 p.m. Eastern time, Manistique VFW Post 4420, 344 N. Maple St., Manistique.
