Several UP roadside parks closing for upgrades
ISHPEMING — Six Michigan Department of Transportation roadside parks in the Upper Peninsula will be closed in coming weeks for new toilet building installation.
Each roadside park is expected to be closed for about two weeks, according to an MDOT news release.
They are:
— M-28 Lake Superior Roadside Park, Marquette County, closed starting Monday morning;
— M-95 Leif Erickson Roadside Park, Marquette County, closed starting Wednesday morning;
— U.S. 41 Baraga Cliff Roadside Park, Baraga County, closed starting Wednesday morning;
— M-28 Ewen Pines Roadside Park, Ontonagon County, closed starting Thursday morning;
— U.S. 2 Larson Roadside Park, Iron County, closed starting Wednesday, Aug. 13; and
— U.S. 2/U.S. 141 Alpha Roadside Park, Iron County, closed starting Wednesday, Aug. 13.
