Bay College hosts Cards of Hope: a crafting event to support veterans
ESCANABA — Bay College is again partnering with the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center to support veterans.
Students, faculty and staff at Bay College, as well as any interested community members, are invited to make cards that will be included in care packages sent to veterans during National Suicide Awareness Month in September.
Card-making events will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday, in the Lower Commons on the Iron Mountain Campus, and from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Eastern time Tuesday, at the Bay College Library on the Escanaba campus.
Drop in during either or both events and get creative to provide hope to veterans through these homemade cards. All card-making supplies will be provided, and there will be snacks at both events.
For more information about attending this event, contact Renee Strom, communication faculty, at 906-217-4131 or renee.strom@baycollege.edu.
