Grant for Hope 2 Help event

The Dickinson Area Community Foundation recently awarded a $350 Community Impact Grant to Dickinson-Iron Communities that Care. The grant was partially funded by the Pasahow Family Fund and will be used to purchase tables, a sandwich board and items needed for the upcoming Hope 2 Help Suicide Awareness Community Event and Walk. Tamara Juul, director of DACF, presents the check to Bob Boivin, co-coordinator of the Hope 2 Help event. The event will be Sunday, Sept. 14, starting at 1 p.m. in the downtown Farmers & Artisans Market parking lot. It will feature a suicide awareness walk, resources, speakers, live music, Home Depot kids workshop, bounce house and prize drawings. For more information on available grant funding or current needs in area communities, contact Juul at 906-774-3131 or go to www.dickinsonareacf.org.
