GLADSTONE — A Gladstone woman reported as missing after last being seen Sept. 15 was found dead Friday in a remote area of Delta County, according to the Michigan State Police Gladstone Post.

The search for 58-year-old Brenda Meadows ended Friday afternoon when her vehicle was located and body found inside. Foul play is not suspected, the MSP stated in a news release.

“We offer our condolences to Brenda’s family, friends, and all who cared for her,” Lt. Ben Eckola, MSP Eighth District public information officer, said in the news release. “The MSP will continue to offer support to those affected by this difficult loss.”

In a statement released Thursday, MSP said Meadows may be suicidal and in possession of a firearm.
