CRYSTAL FALLS — Forest Park School’s Trojan Power Robotics and the Crystal Theatre will present a Classic Sci-Fi Movie Festival on Saturday.

The festival will feature 1956’s “Forbidden Planet,” which introduces one of the most iconic movie robots of all time, and 1990’s “Tremors” starring Kevin Bacon. Showtime is 5 p.m. and doors open at 4:30. Suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for students.

The historic Crystal Theatre is at 304 Superior Ave., in downtown Crystal Falls. The event is sponsored by Northern Interstate Bank and Bigari ACE Hardware. Proceeds will support Trojan Power Robotics in their 2026 competition season.

Trojan Power Robotics from Crystal Falls is entering its third competition season and won a Rookie All-Star Award in its first season and two Creativity Awards for design innovation in its second.

“This is our first science fiction double feature and while not a late night one, you will see Anne Francis on the big screen. Come out and support the Trojan Power Robotics Team and enjoy some fresh popcorn in Stage Left at the Crystal Theatre,” said Kristin Underhill, managing director of the Crystal Theatre.

Starting at $3.50/week.
