Grant for radio club
The Dickinson Area Community Foundation, along with the Norway Area Community Foundation and the Crystal Falls Area Community Foundation, recently awarded a $500 Community Impact Grant to the Mich-A-Con Amateur Radio Club. This grant was partially funded with a matching grant from the Pasahow Family Fund. The grant dollars will be used to update the echolink program and preparation for winter and spring school field days with a focus on getting additional family and youth involved in the club. From left, DACF Director Tamara Juul presents the check to Tom Martin, club president. The Mich-A-Con Amateur Radio Club serves Dickinson, Iron and Marinette counties and is open for anyone to join. To learn more about the club, contact Martin at 906-282-6252. The mission of the Community Foundation is to enhance and strengthen local communities now and for generations to come.
