Love Lights Ceremony on Dec. 15

Lorraine Kelly

IRON MOUNTAIN — The life of Lorraine Kelly will be celebrated at the annual Love Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, in the main lobby at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson in Iron Mountain.

Kelly was a woman whose capacity for fun and friendship seemed to have no limits; endlessly kind, loyal and filled with love for her family and friends, ceremony organizers state in a news release. Throughout her decades-long nursing career, she cared deeply for others. She was a founding member of the Medical Care Access Committee, which supported improvements in medical care and hospital services in the region. Her compassion, professionalism and dedication touched countless lives.

Her family and friends will welcome guests, offer a short memorial address and serve as official tree lighters for this year’s event.

“It is a true privilege to celebrate the life and legacy of Lorraine Kelly at this year’s Love Lights Ceremony. Her lifelong dedication to nursing and helping others shines as a powerful example of compassion and service; an inspiration that resonates deeply with the Marshfield-Dickinson team,” Marshfield Michigan Region President Mandy Shelast said.

“We invite the community to attend this special celebration and honor and remember your loved ones, both past and present. We will have music, complimentary beverages and cookies served after the ceremony,” said Tamara Juul, executive director of Dickinson Area Community Foundation and Dickinson Hospitals’ Foundation.
