This week’s Back to the Present, provided by the Menominee Range Historical Museum in Iron Mountain, looks back at the eastside ice skating rink.
The rink on East Hughitt and Jackson streets was a long-time popular area gathering spot for winter sport.
The undated photo shows a crowd enjoying an afternoon of skating. In the back is the warming building that included selling concessions.
There were very few days there wasn’t a full house on opening nights.
The photos were a recent addition to the museum’s photo archives.
