Rural mental health topic of Wellness Wednesday
IRON RIVER — The Iron Area Health Foundation and Aspirus Healthcare Iron River collaboratively sponsored a Wellness Wednesday presentation at the Aspirus Iron River Hospital on Jan. 21.
The topic for the presentation was “Rural Mental Health” provided by presenters Dr. Lisa Pangrazzi, PsyD., LP, and Heather Stemick, behavioral health practitioner. They spoke about local demographics, data on rural mental health needs and resources available to support and help local residents.
The presentation was one of four scheduled winter/spring Wellness Wednesday events sponsored by the Iron Area Health Foundation. The Wellness Wednesday presentations take place on the third Wednesday of each month, with each addressing a different health-related topic with various experts in that field.
The Wellness Wednesday presentations are free of charge and include a free salad bar for all attendees.
