FLORENCE, Wis. — The Friends of the Florence County K9 Unit will host their annual Fish Fry Fundraiser from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday at One-O-One Bar & Grill in Florence. All proceeds benefit the Florence County K9 Unit and support the ongoing needs of K9 Rambo and K9 Rajzi.

This year’s event features Justy’s famous fried cod balls, a recipe many locals remember from the former Justy’s restaurant. Organizers say the fish fry holds special meaning because it was the first fundraiser that helped launch community support for the K9 program.

Dinner options include an $18 adult plate with fried cod balls, homemade coleslaw, bread, and choice of fries or potato salad, along with a $6 kids’ meal. The evening will also include K9 meet-and-greets, over 40 raffle baskets, and merchandise sales featuring new patriotic K9 apparel.

Guests are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets early to avoid the dinner rush. Raffle ticket sales will be held at One-O-One from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and again Friday starting at 11 a.m. Organizers note that crowds typically lighten after the 6 p.m. raffle drawings, making later arrival a great option for those wanting a more relaxed atmosphere.
