Maple syrup program Tuesday in Florence
FLORENCE, Wis. — A program on maple syrup techniques will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Florence Natural Resource and Wild Rivers Interpretive Center.
The panel of experts will include Fred Hedmark and Ernie Dagostino. There will be ample time for questions and answers.
These two men are maple syrup producers of varying size, so they can cover all levels of production, from small to extensive. Both men have been making maple syrup their entire life and are vastly knowledgeable in the production of maple syrup.
Hedmark’s Maple Ridge, which is a maple supplies dealer, will also have maple equipment and supplies on display and for sale. This program should interest to those considering making maple syrup, those who want to compare experience and techniques and to those curious about the process of obtaining this tasty and necessary pancake product.
The program will be in the lower level conference room at the Florence Natural Resource and Wild Rivers Interpretive Center, 5628 Forestry Drive, on the corner of U.S. 2 and Highway 101/70 in Florence. Attendees should go to the second driveway to reach the lower level.
