IRON MOUNTAIN — Seasonal road restrictions will likely be implemented soon as the Dickinson County Road Commission has set a potential date of Saturday, March 7, based on the current weather forecast.

Businesses that involve truck deliveries and services are being advised to adjust their schedules as the annual restrictions draw near. Once restrictions are in effect, county road use will be limited for large trucks used for delivering building materials, concrete, well drilling, septic pumping, dumpsters and more.

County road commissions put in place their own seasonal weight restrictions, which usually, but not always, coincide with the Michigan Department of Transportation’s state highway weight restrictions.
