Substitute teacher accused of criminal sexual conduct

MENOMINEE – A substitute teacher from Gladstone has been accused of criminal sexual conduct in Menominee County after an investigation at the Bark River-Harris School in Harris Township.
Timothy Brandt, 58, was arraigned Thursday in the 95A District Court on two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. He remained in the Menominee County Jail on a $5,000 cash/surety bond as of Thursday evening, according to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office news release.
In December, the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office school resource officer received a complaint about an incident at the Bark River-Harris School involving a substitute teacher and minor students, Menominee County Sheriff Darrin Kudwa stated in the news release.
Brandt was arrested Tuesday morning by a Menominee County Sheriff’s Office detective, according to the news release.
No information was provided on a future court date.
