AP students design ‘Hamlet’ plates

The Advanced Placement Literature class at Kingsford High School studied William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and all the stress Prince Hamlet had in his life. Since Hamlet had "a lot on his plate," they represented the problems in his life with food. Each student had to identify at least five stressors in his life, choose a food to represent it, the portion size, design the plate, and explain and present their creations to the class. The plates are now on display in the library. Students really enjoyed this project and were able to dig deep into the themes of the play. From left, in front are Arabelle Poll, AJ Martin, Olivia Westcott, Sophia Zhao, Mckenzie Lancour and Chloe Roell; in back are Anja Bradley, Mylee Tusa, John Branam, Christina Fraker, Ingrid Holt and Samantha Keenan.

Starting at $3.50/week.
