Lunchtime Live special edition hints at spring
ESCANABA — Bay College has hosted Lunchtime Live, a midday music-and-food event that takes place weekly on campus during the warmer seasons, since 2019.
This year, a total of six Lunchtime Live events will be hosted at both locations of the community college — three at the campus in Escanaba, and three at the campus in Iron Mountain.
The first of the season was a special, St. Patrick’s Day-themed event. Local Celtic band Failte played in the Bay Cafe, while the kitchen there served three food options: a boiled dinner of cabbage, corned beef, onion, red potato and carrot served with rye bread; a Reuben sandwich; and Guinness beer cheese soup.
The entire schedule for the season has not yet been released, but Bay College shared a teaser about the Lunchtime Live events to come.
On June 16 in Escanaba, musical artist Evie Breault will perform and Bobaloons and Wiles Taco Kitchen will provide food.
“This year, Escanaba will host them in the circle drive in front of the Besse Center facing Lincoln Road. Outdoor seating will be provided,” Alumni Engagement & Conference Services Coordinator Laurie Mold said.
On June 30 at the Iron Mountain campus, Bay College will welcome A Place to Land as the musical guest, with food to be determined.
The full docket should be released sometime in late April. All Lunchtime Live events run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
