Iron Mountain Department of Public Works crews continued with snow removal on Thursday after Blizzard Elsa. Workers relocated a mountain of snow from a downtown parking lot on Hughitt Street, trucklaod by truckload, to a Chapin Pit area dump site. By late afternoon the lot was cleared. The storm Sunday and Monday dumped 2 to 3 feet of snow in the local area. Several more snow piles remained to be removed in downtown Iron Mountain, though highs near 50 today and Saturday could put a further dent in the snowpack.

Starting at $3.50/week.
