IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain Figure Skating Club is gearing up to bring sparkle, skill, and community spirit to the ice with its upcoming spring show, “Ignite the Light with Our Stars on Ice.”

The annual showcase will take place at Mountain View Arena with three performances: 1 and 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

This year’s show will highlight the dedication and progress of about 74 skaters, representing a wide range of ages and skill levels. From the youngest beginners lacing up for their very first season to senior skaters who have grown up with the club, the event promises something special for every audience member.

“This show is the culmination of months of practice, learning and perseverance,” club president Stephanie Mitchell said. “Our skaters have worked incredibly hard, and we can’t wait for the community to see how much they’ve accomplished this season.”

Audience members can expect a vibrant program filled with solo numbers, small group routines and energetic full’ice performances — each choreographed to showcase the creativity and individuality of the skaters, as well as the camaraderie that defines the club.

In addition to the on’ice excitement, attendees will have the chance to support the club through multiple fundraising opportunities, including basket raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and the highly anticipated annual hog raffle. Two lucky winners will take home half of a locally raised and processed hog, a longstanding and popular fundraiser for the club.

The Iron Mountain Figure Skating Club encourages residents to come cheer on the young athletes who have dedicated their season to developing confidence, sportsmanship and a lifelong love for skating.

Tickets are $10 for adults and children ages 5 and older. Children younger than 5 will be admitted free. Tickets are available at the door, and all community members are invited to join in celebrating these hardworking skaters as they light up the ice.

Starting at $3.50/week.
