Bay College’s Student Poster Symposium to be April 22
ESCANABA — Bay College will host its ninth Student Poster Symposium from 4 to 6 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, April 22, in Café Bay on the Escanaba Campus.
This event offers students the opportunity to showcase their coursework in an open forum by presenting their work in a poster format. Students display their posters while in attendance so they can explain and discuss their work in more detail if needed.
At national conferences, the poster format is a very common presentation mechanism used by upper-undergraduate and graduate students.
“During the symposium, not only are our students developing their presentation skills, they are also preparing themselves for the next level of their education. They are also taking part in something that goes on their resume, all the while getting the opportunity to showcase their work and learn about what others are doing,” said Bay College Instructor Dr. Matthew P. Krynicki, who teaches physics, engineering mechanics and astronomy.
