FLORENCE, Wis. — Northwoods Beekeepers will host Patrick Sizemore, apiary inspector for the state of Wisconsin, at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the lower-level conference room of Wild Rivers Interpretive Center in Florence.

Sizemore will present on trends in Wisconsin hive health, including varroa mite management. Time will be allowed for questions.

Anyone interested in learning more about honey bees is invited to attend. There is no charge.

The Wisconsin Apiary Program offers free, voluntary colony inspections to all beekeepers in the state. An inspection can provide management advice and help to diagnose health issues.
