NWS issues ice storm warning
An ice storm warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service said.
“Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice,” forecasters said. “Travel could be difficult.”
Total snow and sleet accumulations less than one inch and ice accumulations between 0.3 inches and 0.4 inches are possible in Dickinson and Iron counties, NWS advised.
Freezing rain was expected to begin mainly after midnight, possibly mixed with snow on Saturday, and changing to rain by 1 p.m. There is a slight chance of rain and snow Saturday night.
Saturday’s predicted high is 40 degrees with a low around 26.
Easter Sunday is expected to become gradually sunny, with a high near 44.
