Sheboygan man dies from injuries after April 8 crash

A 66-year-old Sheboygan, Wis., man died Saturday as a result of injuries sustained in traffic crash earlier this month in Crivitz, said Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller.

In a news release issued Monday, Miller said Terry A. Garbisch was eastbound on Main Avenue at 1:37 a.m. April 8 when he failed to turn at Louisa Street and crashed into two buildings. Garbisch, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported from the crash site for treatment, he said.

“Speed, alcohol and failure to wear a seatbelt appear to have been factors in the crash,” he said.

An investigation into the crash continues by the sheriff’s office and the Marinette County medical examiner.

Assisting at the crash were the Crivitz Fire Department, Middle Inlet Fire Department, Crivitz Rescue, Aurora Medical Center, Bay Area EMS and Tim Witt Chevrolet Towing.
